Dunston's pool has a weekly SEND swim on Wednesday evenings which the council describes as quieter and relaxed. The centre also has a Changing Places toilet and a poolside hoist, and carers go free.

- Quiet or relaxed timesDedicated SEND swimming session on Wednesdays, 5.15pm to 6pm. Described as less busy, relaxed and friendly.
- Carer ticketCarers enter free when supporting another customer, and a second carer can come if needed. Children with SEND get free casual swimming with the SEND Leisure Pass.
